20 WWE Ruthless Aggression Era Tag Teams You've Already Forgotten
17. Jesse & Festus
If you had to guess which of these two was the son of legendary big man Terry "Bam Bam" Gordy, you'd probably think it was Festus, but nope; that little Heath Slater looking dude was the son of a guy that used to ragdoll the Steiner Brothers.
The Jesse and Festus gimmick was simple, or at least Festus was. They had a George/Lennie dynamic going, with Jesse leading his dimwitted cousin to the ring, and exploiting his superhuman strength to win wrestling matches. If you think I'm being unfair to Jesse, I'd invite you to recall what we learned when Luke Gallows joined the Straight Edge Society: that he'd been kept captive and drugged by his diabolical hayseed kin.
Despite this disturbing revelation, Jesse faced no consequences for his heinous crime, unless you count being forced to team with Jimmy Wang Yang as something called "Slam Master J."
Today They'd Be: The evil, rural counterparts of Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady.
