20 WWE Ruthless Aggression Era Tag Teams You've Already Forgotten
15. Kenzo Suzuki & René Dupree
986693Confession: I generally like tag teams where the only reason the guys are friends -- and evil -- is that they're not American. It's a great tradition that goes all the way back to the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkoff: decades of intercultural enmity go out the window because Americans are so obnoxious. WWE could probably sign an Israeli guy and a Palestinian dude and they'd form a tag team before they made it out of the Performance Center parking lot.
So even though I love the idea of an effeminate Frenchman and a militant kabuki actor teaming up with my whole heart, René and Kenzo faltered in execution. They were a product of WWE's mid-2000's developmental system, where it was more important that they be tall and hairless than good at wrestling. WWE is full of actual international superstars these days, but I still kind of wish they'd show up on Raw and help Rusev kick Dolph Ziggler to death.
Today They'd Be: Having their ribcages kicked into dust by Hideo Itami and Finn Bálor.
