Whether it was blonde, colored, dark brown, or nearly black as it would later become, CM Punk had long hair for the majority of his wrestling career up until 2010. It wasn't as identifiable as Punk's tattoos or even his Chicago inspired wrestling tights, but the long hair helped him stand out.

At Over The Limit in 2010, Punk lost a match to the Big Show and subsequently, had his head shaved. For a brief while afterwards, Punk concealed his face under a mask but ultimately gave up the disguise and wrestled with an incredibly short haircut.

Punk began to grow his hair back out again and by the time of his famous "pipe bomb" the next Summer, his hair had grown to a medium length and was slicked back.

Punk remained with this old time gangster-style haircut until RAW 1000 in 2012 when he went back to the shaved head look, shortly after turning heel.

Throughout his pro-wrestling career, CM Punk would always mark a change in his career with a change in his appearance. In many cases, his hair was the first thing Punk would look to as a quick and easy way for fans to recognized that the character of CM Punk had changed.
