Whether he wrestled as Cactus Jack, Mankind, Dude Love, or Mick Foley, long, curly hair was as much a part of the Long Island native's look as a missing ear and scars. After wrestling in WCW, Japan, ECW, and WWE, Mick Foley had amassed a following all over the world, mostly for his "King of Hardcore" moniker.

So when Foley retired from the ring (for the first time) back in 2000, fans were somewhat surprised to see the Micker take a job as WWF Commissioner in the summer of 2000. It wasn't taking the job that shocked fans but instead, the new hairstyle Foley revealed, one that was significantly shorter than anything he had ever worn before.

In his second book, Foley explains how he took the clippers and ran them through his head in an effort to avoid standing out as the famous pro-wrestler Mankind that attracted the attention of millions of people back during the height of the Attitude Era.

The short-haired look must not have been one of Foley's favorites because he soon grew his hair back out and has been wearing it long ever since.
