How many fans were shocked when, in early 2016, Daniel Bryan cut off his hair, trimmed his beard and announced his retirement live on Raw all within a matter of days? In terms of shocking hair cuts, fans were equally surprised a few years earlier when they saw longtime Fabio-doppleganger Triple H cut off his long, dirty blonde hair in the summer of 2012.

Unlike the short, closely buzzed hairstyle The Game wears these days, his first cut after chopping off his pretty blonde locks was not nearly as fashionable.

Trips quickly wised up and cut his hair even shorter, which is now the current hairstyle he wears.

According to the real-life Paul Levesque, the move to short hair was done to correspond with his move to a WWE executive position and in an attempt to get away from the "pro-wrestler" stereotype. After years of Vince McMahon trying to persuade Triple H to make the transition, Paul finally succumbed and gave his old ponytail to Vince as a gesture to say "you finally got me."
