Despite the Aries-Spud match being taped over a month ago, Aries' contract expiring at the end of June and him signed to Ring of Honour at the start of July, Matthews and the Pope still tried to play up the stakes of the match, pretending that most fans don't know that he's leaving. Matthews says, "you may be watching Aries for the last time ever on Impact Wrestling", to which Pope replies, "I doubt there's anyone out there that actually believes that's going to happen." Hilarious. And of course, Spud wins the match with a Super Underdog, and a shocked Aries holds up Spud's arm in a show of respect.
