21 WWE Stars Who Have Wrestled The Most Smackdown Matches

4. Matt Hardy - 267 Matches

Matt Hardy's 267 Smackdown matches demonstrates the value of a jobber. He was never a huge deal, mostly functioning to put over others or provide some filler for the mid / under card. It is amazing to think a guy like Matt has managed to rank fourth on this list. Admittedly, he was a pretty big star during his 1999 / 2000 / 2001 years, as part of The Hardy Boyz and in competition with The Dudleyz / Edge and Christian. But that was less about him and more about the people he was in the ring with. Beyond that, WWE tried to get Matt over as V1 Mattitude in 2003, but his singles push was a disaster. There were some decent matches with Smackdown's cruiserweights, but he always felt like a square peg in a round hole. He spent the majority of his 2005 -2010 WWE run over on Smackdown, but he was never the star that he thought was. He accumulated lots of matches, but how many of them really had lasting meaning?
