21 WWE Stars Who Have Wrestled The Most Smackdown Matches
5. Edge - 222 Matches
Having been a major tag team star on Smackdown between 99 and 2002, Edge was scheduled to be a major singles star of the brand in 2003. Unfortunately, a debilitating neck injury ended up ruling him out for most of that year. When he returned, it was on Raw in 2004, finding great success in feuding with John Cena between 2006 and 2007. It was on the May 11 2007 Smackdown that he returned to the blue brand, cashing in Money In The Bank on The Undertaker and becoming the new World Champion. Edge stayed on the the show for the next few years, entering a classic feud with the deadman. Sadly, his career came to a sudden end in 2011, when a neck injury was ruled too dangerous to compete with. He was still World Champion at the time and could have headlined Smackdown for many more years if fit.
