A blast from the past now, as we go back the best part of 20 years to September 1995.

In this instance, there were titles on the line, but it was by no means a unification bout. Instead, WWE Champion Diesel teamed with Intercontinental Champion Shawn Michaels to take on the Tag Team Champions Yokozuna and Owen Hart. Whomever was pinned would lose his championship.

As if the array of titles on offer wasn't confusing enough though, matters become even more convoluted when the British Bulldog replaced Hart on the basis that he was with his wife who was in labour.

Of course, she wasn’t, and Hart would return in the closing minutes of the match, attempting to surprise Diesel but only managing to walk into a powerbomb and immediately take the pinfall.

However the tag titles didn’t change hands as planned—the last minute involvement of Hart meant he wasn’t the legal man, despite being the official title holder. Nonetheless, no titles changed hands due to the rather discombobulated finish to the match.
