Ouch! Ziggler's allusion stretches back four years (an utter lifetime by the WWE's modern standards) to WrestleMania 27, the PPV headlined by the Miz's successful title defence over John Cena. The match has gone down as one of the most anti-climactic endings in 'Mania history, as it was completely overshadowed by The Rock's interference - setting up the massively overblown pair of matches between himself and Cena over the course of the following two years. Unfortunately, a large section of the crowd didn't seem to quite understand the reference, as the putdown earned a fraction of the reaction it actually deserved.
