The New Day's opening promo may have flaunted continuity in a manner typical of the modern day WWE, but the company redeemed themselves later on with this fantastic callback. Sure, Summer's damning video of herself and Ziggler locking lips may only stretch back to last summer, but it was relevant, dramatic, and largely forgotten by a great deal of the audience. This made it a genuinely shocking, cringeworthy moment (in the best way possible), as Ziggler squirmed before his girlfriend in the face of undeniable evidence. He and Summer certainly have history, but that's no guarantee of Dolph's infidelity last week. Lana wasn't so sure however, storming to the back with her man in grovelling tow.
