22 WWE Stars From The 2000s That You Totally Don't Remember

7. Sylvester Terkay

For someone with such a legit background in fighting, Sylvester Terkay had absolutely no presence whatsoever. He wasn't intimidating in the slightest. He was just a generic guy in a generic singlet with a generic wrestling style. It was clear that he was never going to make it. Still, WWE had high hopes for him. There were rumours at the time that he was being prepped for a big feud with The Undertaker. Terkay squashed jobbers for weeks with his MMA-inspired offence but it didn't get over. So WWE switched it to a more 'WWE friendly' style. That didn't get over either. He, along with his associated/partner Elijah Burke, were demoted to ECW after just a few months on Smackdown. His fortunes didn't improve, with even Gerald Brisco (who loves amateur wrestlers) losing interest in Terkay. He was released on January 18th, 2007. To think, they thought this guy could be the next Kurt Angle.
