22 WWE Stars From The 2000s That You Totally Don't Remember
15. Frankie Kazarian
Frankie Kazarian was a seven year veteran by the time he showed up in WWE in February 2005. Disillusioned with how his TNA career was going, Kazarian decided to see if he could sink or swim in the land of the giants. It proved to be the former. After the customary few months in OVW, Kazarian made his main roster debut on the July 16th edition of Velocity, beating Nunzio. Dubbed 'The Future' by WWE, Kazarian beat Scotty 2 Hotty, Funaki and Paul London over the next few weeks. And then he was gone. Kazarian was released on August 13th, 2005. It was an odd one. WWE were clearly behind him, at least on Velocity. Kazarian told colleagues and the wrestling media that he left because he heard that WWE had no plans to revamp its cruiserweight division, which he was told they would be doing when he signed with them. Another thing that led to Kazarian's swift exit was an incident in which he refused to cut his long hair short, per the request of WWE management.
