Two-time GHC Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champion and four-time All Japan World Junior Heavyweight Champion Atsushi Aoki was tragically killed in a motorcycle accident on 3 June 2019. In honour of his run as All Japan Junior Heavyweight Champ, the belt was held up until it'd be declared vacant.

Aoki also held the AAA Tag Titles with Go Shiozaki in 2010.
