8. It's The Longest Running Weekly Episodic TV Show In History
Having ran from 1993 to present day, WWE Monday Night Raw is now considered the longest running weekly episodic TV programme in US television history. At least that is what WWE claims, however, it really depends on how you interpret a TV show type and some observers see the claim as dubious. For example, Coronation Street in the UK has ran continuously from 1960 onwards. It is currently closing in on nine thousand episodes. Even in the US, there are news shows, talk shows and sports shows that have seemingly ran continuously for far longer than Raw. Regardless, WWE are adamant in saying that Raw is the first episodic show to hit 1,000 episodes, surpassing the likes of Lassie and The Simpsons.
