The match ended in shocking fashion, a disappointingly screwy finish to a great contest. Suddenly Jimmy was at the top of the ramp, locked in the clutches of Braun Strowman's lifting triangle choke. His teammates ran to help him, but the arena was plunged into darkness again and the Wyatts escaped. But what on earth happened to the New Day? The match never came to an official end, and we didn't see any members of the trio again for the remainder of the show - not even a token shot of Woods looking confused in the middle of the ring. The whole thing was probably just an example of lazy WWE writing, but were this a WCW angle, I wouldn't have been surprised to see the New Day show up on Raw as brainwashed members of the Wyatt Family. Then, at Night of Champions, they'd shockingly turn on Bray and help the babyfaces win, revealing themselves to be double agents. Then, on the following Raw, they'd blindside Reigns and put him through the announce table, revealing themselves to be double double agents. Then we'd get a vicious shoot promo from Kofi Kingston - calling out Randy Orton for killing his push six years ago - and Xavier Woods vs David Arquette in a trombone-on-a-pole match.
