21. Chris Jericho's WWF Debut

For weeks leading up to Chris Jericho's debut, the WWF ran a Countdown to the Millennium clock on Raw. The clock ticked away each week and fans who were good at math soon figured out that the clock would run out during the August 9, 1999 edition of Raw is War.

While the Rock was in the ring delivering a promo about the Big Show, the countdown clock appeared on the screen and began counting down to zero. Once the clock expired, the arena went dark for a moment before the now-familiar fireworks exploded from the stage and a rock song began to build.

When the theme song screamed "Break the walls down!" and the name "JERICHO" flashed on the Titantron, the entire arena in Chicago erupted and it was clear that Chris Jericho had arrived.

The newcomer renamed the show "Raw is Jericho" and proceeded to proclaim that he had arrived to save the WWF , referring to himself as Y2J, a takeoff of the Y2K bug that had dominated the news with the coming of the year 2000.

The Rock laid into Jericho with a few choice lines and the stage was set for the one of the legendary careers in WWF history.
