Just a few weeks after WrestleMania XXIII, a non-title rematch was signed between WWE Champion John Cena and Shawn Michaels. While Raw matches are always unpredictable given the nature of its booking, that night in London, the greatest bout in the 20+ year history of the show took place.

The bout started halfway through the show, surprising fans who expected it to be the main event. Little did they know that the clash would last almost an entire hour, with Cena and Michaels battling through five commercial breaks. They started off slowly, of course, but built the crowd up to a frenzy. Before long, they were teasing and trading finishing moves, with HBK kicking out of an FU, then avoiding the STFU. Cena finally managed to lock the hold in, but Michaels reached the ropes and attempted a Sweet Chin Music. Cena avoided it, but Michaels connected with another. He covered, but Cena got his hand on the bottom rope.

Cena got up and whipped Michaels to the corner, then attempted another FU. Michaels slid out and hit Sweet Chin Music once more, then collapsed on top of Cena. With that, he scored the pin, ending 55 minutes of incredible action.
