12. Jey Uso’s Backlash Entrance

Is Jey Uso a good enough wrestler to headline WWE shows?

Is…is Jey Uso a good wrestler?

His ability was questioned throughout much of 2024, sparking many tedious debates about what actually makes a wrestler great. Jey Uso has sh*t the bed on the two occasions on which he could have done with not being terrible - SummerSlam 2023 and WrestleMania 40 - but his matches, otherwise, are incredibly loud. Jey Uso is also naturally funny, with brilliant timing, and actually cool. Coolness is the ideal to which almost every pro wrestler aspires. Jey simply exudes it, and the fans respond.

Jey Uso made his entrance at Backlash France, and the arena shook with such energy that even he lost that cool, breaking into a taken-aback grin before simply yeeting away.

That crowd was phenomenal, pulsing as one, in a visual that not even an Attitude Era crowd could rival.

Look, Def Rebel deserve every bit of stick they get - but, in their defence, they were the first songwriters to make a wrestling crowd look identical to the first night of Woodstock ‘99.
