21. Charlotte Flair Cuts Ties With Ric Flair

As soon as Ric Flair became the on-air manager for his daughter Charlotte last year, it looked like there was potential for them to evolve into an amazing heel duo. And that was exactly what they became heading into 2016 with Ric aiding Charlotte in each of her title defenses, allowing her to garner more heat in the process.

One night removed from Ric helping her retain her Raw Women's Championship against Natalya at Extreme Rules, Charlotte kicked her father to the curb on Raw for no apparent reason. They had teased tension in the past, but there wasn't any build behind the split, so the reaction to the segment was flat.

Although Charlotte's mic skills have improved immensely this year, she was still uncomfortable as a talker at that point, so this segment was extremely awkward to say the least. Of course, the split from her father led to her shining on her own down the line, but Dana Brooke serving as Ric's replacement made little sense.

She and Charlotte obviously didn't have the same chemistry Charlotte had with her dad, and there was never any follow-up, either. Ric recently returned to Raw to congratulate Sasha Banks on beating Charlotte for the title, but he has been absent from programming otherwise.
