25 Greatest "Martial Arts" Wrestlers Ever

3. Yokozuna

Style: Sumo The mighty Yokozuna had more success in the wrestling business pretending to be a sumo wrestler than a lot of legitimate sumo did. Meng had a good run, but he never won a Royal Rumble. John Tenta got to be a natural disaster and a bearded fish, but he never beat Hulk Hogan with a leg drop. Even Akebono, a legitimate yokozuna (top-ranked sumo) is best remembered for his sideshow WrestleMania match with Big Show and somewhat disastrous MMA career. Perhaps it's a cliché, but Yoko really didn't have any business moving like he did at his size. He was an absolute physical marvel, a 500 pounder that could throw superkicks and slam into the ropes hard enough to make the front row nervous. I always wish he'd stayed around (and healthy enough) to compete in some faster-paced, late 90's matches, but we'll always have King of the Ring 1993.
