When Eddie Guerrero turned heel on partner/friend Rey Mysterio in the spring of 2005, it led to one of the stranger programs of the year. Anytime Eddie and Rey were in the ring together, greatness was guaranteed, and things were no different at SummerSlam, where they battled in a ladder match, with custody of Rey's son, Dominick, on the line.

According to storyline, Eddie had fathered Dominick and Rey had adopted him, but now, Eddie wanted custody of his biological son just to spite Rey.

Still, fans hoped the ridiculousness could be put aside when it came to match time, and they weren't disappointed: the two had a brutal match that combined athleticism with weaponry and saw run-ins from Dominick and Vickie Guerrero, both of whom tried to help Rey.

In the end, the masked phenomenon grabbed the papers suspended above the ring, ending a spectacular bout and retaining custody of his son.
