After Seth Rollins joined The Authority, his former Shield buddies demanded revenge, and it was Dean Ambrose who got the first shot. Both men competed for the Money in the Bank briefcase at MITB '14 (Rollins won), and a match between the two at Battleground was cancelled when Triple H had Ambrose ejected from the arena.

Finally, at SummerSlam, the two would clash in a lumberjack match.

The match was the kind of wild brawl not usually seen in WWE. Rather than start slow and build up to a frenzied pace, both men went all-out from the opening bell. They fought past the lumberjacks and into the crowd, fought with the lumberjacks, and, in a particularly memorable moment, Dean Ambrose jumped off the top turnbuckle, landing on Rollins and several lumberjacks with an elbow drop.

Ambrose hit a curb stomp on Rollins, but Kane broke up the pin, and in the end, Rollins picked up the win with a briefcase shot.
