25 Greatest WWE WrestleMania Matches Ever

6. Bret Hart Vs. Owen Hart (WrestleMania X)

Nobody had to tell Bret to, "make Owen look strong." Since "The Hitman" was going to spend the better part of 1994 working against his brother in a World Championship program, he knew that a great first impression at WrestleMania for formerly-midcard Owen was essential. Also, Owen was one of the siblings he actually liked, so helping him was of his interest anyway.

Owen had never really been given the opportunity to shine in a showcase match like this in his entire WWE run. He made good by playing the determined schemer to Bret's semi-conflicted veteran, blending schoolyard angst and world class wrestling seamlessly. The entire bout is a master class on how to elevate a lifetime midcarder into the main event in 20 minutes, without a single second-guess from anyone.
