15. WrestleMania 21 - Two Bad Matches Close The Show

WWE.com

WrestleMania 21 in 2005 was supposed to represent a changing of the guard as the company's two hottest young superstars - John Cena and Dave Batista - were poised to win the WWE and World Heavyweight Championships respectively.

Indeed, both men were crowned when the night was over, and given the success of show (and the excellence of the Triple H-Batista feud, especially), the creative team earned major plaudits. Unfortunately, both of the title matches were really bad. In the case of Cena, time constraints meant that his match with JBL was cut short, eliminating Cena's entire comeback. HHH and Batista then proceeded to have a deathly dull showdown that was far from the ass-kicking fans wanted to see.

Good booking is more important than good wrestling, but the top two matches at WrestleMania could have been so much more - especially given that both pairs of wrestlers had excellent rematches in the following months.
