25 Lamest WrestleMania Moments Of All Time
14. WrestleMania XXVI - Bret Hits Vince With A Chair... A LOT
Bret Hart's return to WWE on the 4 January 2010 episode of Raw was a magical, cathartic moment for anyone who had followed his career. The result of the episode - a birthed program between Hart and WWE Chairman Vince McMahon - was, at the very least, a chance to see the Hitman make himself at home for a little while.
Though some of the feud's twists and turns were better-received than others, there was still an excitement leading up to the match at WrestleMania XXVI. The resultant encounter, however, was something of a mistake.
Hart, due to concussions and a stroke in his past, couldn't take any bumps, so the decision was made to have the Hitman brutalize Vince McMahon with a chair for the entirety of the bout. What followed was an 11-minute beating of a 65-year-old man which the crowd wanted to like, but simply couldn't get behind. When Hart won with the Sharpshooter, fans were happy, but the showdown 13 years in the making could have been so much more.
