25 Lamest WrestleMania Moments Of All Time

3. WrestleMania 25 - Triple H Vs. Randy Orton

WWE.com

Of all the flat WrestleMania main events, none was quite as uninteresting as Triple H versus Randy Orton at WrestleMania 25. The show itself was a disappointment, but it began to turn the corner with an Undertaker-Shawn Michaels match that remains amongst the best bouts in WWE history.

Following a Hall of Fame acknowledgement where Stone Cold Steve Austin threw a celebratory beer bash, elated fans began to remember that there was still one more match to go. The bout was the culmination of a program that saw Shane McMahon beat up Randy Orton when the rest of the Raw roster stood down, as well as HHH breaking into Orton's house to assault him. With compelling backstory like that, HHH and Orton had to start hot, hitting their finishers in the opening moments. That failed to get the crowd riled up, and they proceeded to go another 20 minutes before HHH won. Orton would win the title the following month, rendering the whole thing meaningless.
