The team of Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder have an interesting origin story.

Dawson debuted for NXT way back in 2012 and was at one point in a team with Rusev of all people. Dawson went down with an injury and, when he returned, he was paired with the debuting Wilder. History was made.

The two slowly gained a cult following for their incredible in-ring performances and their retro style that earned them plenty of comparisons to The Brain Busters and Four Horsemen tag teams of of old.

The two were front and centre during the glory days of the NXT Tag Team Championships, capturing the belts firstly from The Vaudevillains and then again from American Alpha, becoming the first two-time Tag Team Champions in NXT history.

Dash and Dawson helped bring tag team wrestling back to WWE after years of Vince McMahon famously hating it. Their chemistry with one another in the ring is almost unparalleled and they have always played their roles of despicable heels to perfection.

They may not be around in WWE for much longer (at least until their contracts run out), but The Revival will always hold a special place in the history of WWE's most innovative brand.
