15. Ric Flair's Final Promo On Nitro
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B-JhKCmdGDY When Vince McMahon was able to purchase WCW, you knew there were going to be some hurt feelings by the WCW cast and crew. These are people who spent years trying to bring McMahon's WWF down only to be on the losing end of the battle themselves. On the final episode of WCW's Monday Nitro, Ric Flair took the time to cut an incredibly passionate promo, directing it at Vince McMahon. Earlier in the night, Vince mentioned that he was holding the wrestling world in the palm of his hand and that set Flair off. He made mention of WCW's rich history, going back to the days of the NWA. He talked about all of the legendary names who held the NWA and/or WCW World Title and said they were too big and too good for Vince McMahon to hold in his hand. Flair became a legend because of his animated promos, but even at the age of 52 like he was during the final Nitro, he was still able to tear the house down because fans believed every word he said. You could tell he meant what he was saying, making it not just another promo.
