25 Most Memorable Wrestling Promos Of All-Time

14. Ultimate Warrior Discusses Hulk Hogan's Fatal Plane Crash

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rXNvusFPsBQ The Ultimate Warrior was one of the key players in wrestling during the 1980's and early 1990's. With his brightly colored face paint and in-ring gear to match an over-the-top personality and borderline insane promos, he was the epitome of that era in the world, not just wrestling. His rambling, often incoherent promos were always a treat, even if you had no idea what he was saying. Heading up to WrestleMania 6, where the Intercontinental Champion Warrior was set to face WWF Champion Hulk Hogan, the most spectacular of those promos took place. Even some of the great storytellers of our time couldn't craft what Warrior put together here. He told a story about Hogan being on an airplane that was crashing and vaguely mentioned the pilots being dead, hinting at some sort of suicide, and how Hogan should break the cockpit door down and take control of the plane... sending it into the ground, killing him, as well. Even if you were a young child when the promo first aired, you knew you were watching and listening to something that was "special". The out-of-nowhere story about death and destruction is something that stood out, even in the age of out-of-nowhere stories during promos and it made WrestleMania 6 an even bigger deal than it already was.
