There is a reason that Mick Foley being launched from the top of Hell In A Cell and through a table below is up there with Hogan slamming Andre as one of the most recognizable moments in pro wrestling history. It's because falling from the top of a cage is a frankly insane thing for a human being to do.

AEW fans have come to expect the annual 'Blood & Guts' match to feature a feast of violent spots and wild stunts, and 2021's edition of the match between MJF's The Pinnacle and The Jericho Appreciation Society was no different. Dax Harwood was busted open by Sammy Guevara in the first minute of the match, and things escalated from there.

The match's big finale featured MJF forcing The Pinnacle to quit by threatening to throw Chris Jericho from the top of the cage. The JAS gave up, surrendering the match in the process, before a bloodied MJF threw Jericho from the top of the structure anyway. The problem was that the cardboard that broke Chris's fall was so flimsy that it made this end stunt look weak. The internet lit up with laughter, WWE talent tweeted mockingly, and AEW suffered another production mishap at the end of a big match that was supposed to shock audiences.
