If CM Punk letting rip at the All Out 2022 media scrum had a slightly comedic edge, what followed it saw that humor disappear entirely. AEW had been a breath of fresh air since its inception, and CM Punk joining the company felt like the start of Tony Khan's upstart company becoming legitimate competition for WWE on every level.
