Sasha Banks was one of NXT and WWE's most popular superstars during her time with the market leader. She had suffered from bad creative under Vince McMahon's stewardship, as had most of the roster's performers, but on the May 16th episode of Monday Night Raw, things boiled over too much for the Legit Boss and her fellow Women's Tag Team Champion, Naomi.

The pair were allegedly frustrated at the lack of creative direction for them as champions, with the two scheduled to compete against one another on that night as part of a six-pack challenge to determine the challenger for Becky Lynch's Raw Women's Championship at the upcoming Hell in a Cell. Naomi was set to win that match, leaving the Tag Team Champions disjointed for their future plans.

After Banks confronted McMahon and wanted these plans altered to avoid fans being confused or conflicted, the billionaire refused to change his mind. Sasha and Naomi were a united front and decided to walk out of that Raw taping and, ultimately, the company. Many of the roster had become tired of McMahon's bad creative, and Banks and Naomi's stance was supported by fans, despite WWE putting out a statement during Raw's broadcast deriding the Tag Team Champions for their decision to walk out. 

Naomi eventually came back to WWE in 2024, but this was the last we'd see of Sasha Banks in WWE.
