Drew McIntyre has become one of the most credible superstars in pro wrestling. His social media game is second to none, he's totally believable as an ass-kicking badass, and he is finally considered a long-term, bona fide main event talent within WWE. The Scottish Warrior has had to fight tooth and nail to reach where he is today, losing many high-profile championship matches along the way.

One of the most painful losses of Drew's career was to Roman Reigns for the WWE Championship at Clash at the Castle 2022 in Cardiff. Somehow, succumbing to the Tribal Chief was still not the worst thing that happened to McIntyre that evening.

During the world title match, Austin Theory had attempted to cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase before being knocked out by boxer Tyson Fury, who had been sitting at ringside. Fury again got involved after Drew had been pinned, attempting to cheer him up with a version of Don McLean's 'American Pie'. McIntyre gave a rousing speech after this vomit-inducing singalong, before unleashing his own toe-curling moment by starting to sing Oasis's 'Don't Look Back in Anger'.

Drew McIntyre would later reveal that he only did this as a gesture to send the fans home happy, because he thought the show was off-air. Instead, the whole world saw this cringeworthy duet, with Drew saying it was the worst moment of his career in a 2024 interview with Chris Van Vliet.
