25 'WWE Superstars' Matches That Were Actually Awesome

14. Rey Mysterio vs. Tyson Kidd (March 25, 2010)

Only days before he was set to go one-on-one with his arch rival CM Punk at WrestleMania 26, Rey Mysterio first had to deal with Tyson Kidd on the March 25, 2010 edition of 'WWE Superstars'. Kidd had arrived on the WWE scene only a year prior and had spent most of his career up to this point as a tag team competitor, but he wasn't one to be taken lightly. Having trained in the Hart Family Dungeon, Kidd was one of the best technical wrestlers at WWE's disposal, and with this being only his second outing against Mysterio, it was definitely going to be an interesting clash of styles. While Punk defeated JTG with ease earlier that same evening, Mysterio had a tougher time in his match against Kidd. The soon-to-be tag team champion wasn't going to go down without a fight and undoubtedly pushed The Master of the 619 to his absolute limit. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDDXM4nMpIA Mysterio ultimately went over, but not without making Kidd look super strong in defeat. It was an eye-opening performance from Kidd in that it was clear he was destined for big things once he was off on his own. Mysterio has praised Kidd plenty of times in past interviews, going so far as to call him a future world champion.
