25 'WWE Superstars' Matches That Were Actually Awesome
10. Chris Jericho vs. John Morrison (May 7, 2009)
Shortly after 'WWE Superstars' made its debut on WGN America in April 2009, WWE began to feature as much star power as possible on the show in order to get viewers to tune in. Chris Jericho was a prime example, and although John Morrison may not have been a star at this point in his career, he was well on his way to solidifying himself as one. It was around this time that Morrison executed a babyface turn, so fans were anxious to see how he'd fare against some of WWE's biggest stars, including Jericho. Not only was it a fresh match, it was also an opportunity for Morrison to prove himself among the elite in WWE. For his first match against one of the best of all-time, he certainly succeeded. Morrison and Jericho contested a competitive contest with neither guy getting a clear edge over the other. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BH90HaoTjWU The Shaman of Sexy was closing in on the win, but a distraction from his then-rival Shelton Benjamin allowed Jericho to capitalize and pick up the victory. The two went on to have several more matches against each other in the next year and a half.
