25 'WWE Superstars' Matches That Were Actually Awesome

3. Chris Jericho vs. Goldust (March 4, 2010)

Before returning to WWE in fall 2013, Goldust wasn't involved in anything notable during his prior stint with the company from 2008 to 2012. He bounced around from brand to brand, never held any gold and didn't engage in many feuds. However, one match from that run that often goes under the radar was his clash with Chris Jericho on the March 4, 2010 edition of 'WWE Superstars'. Goldust was moved over to SmackDown for a brief period after the closing of ECW earlier that year and mostly competed on the Thursday night show. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xcwsdurfucg However, to think the then-World Heavyweight champion Chris Jericho would make an appearance on 'Superstars' was unbelievable, especially so close to WrestleMania. Although Jericho and Goldust were on completely different levels at the time, they came close in terms of what they could accomplish in the ring, and that's what made this a great match. Goldust had never looked better in his career and Jericho put him over like a million bucks throughout. It was the quintessential case of two old dogs learning new tricks, while also having one of the best technically sound matches in 'Superstars' history.
