25 'WWE Superstars' Matches That Were Actually Awesome
20. Tyson Kidd vs. Trent Barreta (May 14, 2011)
One of the most talented performers in WWE today, Tyson Kidd has always been underutilized during his time with the company. That's what it was so encouraging to see him finally get some direction starting on the May 14, 2011 edition of 'WWE Superstars'. He had just been drafted to the SmackDown brand, but was making minimal appearances on the Friday night show. Determined to make his way back to the main roster programs, Kidd sought the help of legendary tag team wrestler, Michael P.S. Hayes. It was an excellent pairing since Kidd desperately needed a mouthpiece and Hayes fit the bill to perfection. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2S7kx4aoVeU Prior to Kidd's outing against Trent Barreta, Hayes cut a promo discussing Kidd's potential and how far he's bound to make it in WWE with him at his side. It appeared Hayes' pre-match pep talk certainly got through to his client as the reinvigorated Kidd had a very strong showing against Barreta. Barreta, in his own right, looked great as well and proved just what these two were capable of if given the time to shine. Though Kidd came out on top, Hayes would ditch him one week later.
