The Internet Wrestling Community and wrestling fans as a whole have been pretty vocal about their dislike for the New Day gimmick for Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods, though they've recently been given a slight retooling, turning heel and at Extreme Rules coming out with some garish neon green attire. One fan sitting close to the front row summed it up perfectly when he held up a sign that read, "New Day rules! (Reverse psychology)", with a sunny smiley face in the corner. It was a perfect way to mock the group's overly positive attitude to everything, and pretty much cements why their gimmick doesn't sit well with the cynical audiences of today.
