Burgeoning independent talent Matt Travis died on 9 November, after his bicycle was struck by a refuse vehicle in East Harlem, New York. He was just 25 years old.

Born Matthew Travis Palacios in The Bronx, New York, Travis began his wrestling career in 2016, after training at Queens' House of Glory school. He made his in-ring bow at CZW's Dojo Wars 97, and subsequently went on to star in a number of north east independents, including Game Changer Wrestling and House of Glory proper.

Tributes poured in from all corners of the wrestling world in the wake of Travis' sudden death. WWE's Curtis Axel and IMPACT's Sami Callahan each Tweeted their condolences, whilst AEW tag team Santana and Ortiz dedicated their Full Gear match against The Young Bucks to Matt's honour.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
