1. Near Future: Cheick Kongo

If Bellator decides Hager is ready to enter the title picture in the near future, a bout with former UFC standout Cheick Kongo would be a good option.

Kongo is in the midst of a 7-fight win streak and knocked out his last 2 opponents in the very 1st round. The 44-year-old is a physically imposing fighter with devastating power. However, his last loss came at the hands of Muhammed 'King Mo' Lawal, who used a wrestling-based attack to neutralize the much larger Kongo.

Hagar has the skills required to follow Lawal's playbook, but the margin for error is slim. Kongo is an explosive fighter and a far more experienced striker. Hager would justifiably be a big underdog here, but if he can find a way to get Kongo to the mat — a win against the Frenchman would be attainable.

If the former WWE star doesn't plan on fighting for very long and wants to put himself in the title picture soon — a fight against Kongo may be a risk worth taking.
