3 Ups & 10 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (Sept. 6)

1. A Boring ‘Action-Packed’ Episode

There’s no easy way to say this: Raw was boring.

You’d think if you heard there would be more than 90 minutes of actual wrestling on the program with AJ Styles, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Bobby Lashley, New Day, Viking Raiders, John Morrison, Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley competing that it would be really good, but you’d be way wrong.

Most of the matches were either anti-climactic or just underwhelming, with the biggest part of the show – the tag team turmoil match – eating up an hour of program time and landing on “rematch from last week” at the end of it.

None of the matches will be remembered by the time you finish reading this recap, and that is hands-down one of the biggest problems facing WWE these days. Even the thing they should be really good at with the roster they’ve got – turning out quality in-ring performances – is forgettable because nothing really stands out.

So even an “action-packed” episode like Monday night’s show disappears into the memory hole in a matter of hours. That’s just sad.
