3 Ups & 12 Downs From WWE Raw (May 31)

10. Cross The Geek, Part 2

Nikki Cross Charlotte Flair

As if last week’s Nikki Cross celebration after “winning” a beat the clock challenge because her opponent was too busy kicking a**, we got to see her once again “winning” on Monday night despite not being in the same league as her opponent.

Cross talked (and slapped) her way into another beat the clock challenge, this time against Charlotte Flair, in an effort to earn a Raw Women’s Championship match after Hell in a Cell (she beat Rhea Ripley last week because Rhea was too busy beating her up). This time, Nikki bailed from the ring repeatedly to run down the time. In fact, Flair and Cross didn’t make contact until there were about 30 seconds left.

Nikki got a tornado DDT, but Charlotte immediately went for a Figure Four as time expired, meaning Cross won again, and it meant she celebrated like she had pulled off a major upset, despite landing one offensive move the entire bout. She looked like a complete geek as a result… again.

So are we supposed to be cheering Nikki as an underdog? She’s gotten less offense in two weeks than Lana does in a typical tag match. Let that roll around in your head.
