3 Ups & 2 Downs From AEW Rampage (Aug 25)

Ups...

3. The Good!

QT Marshall Jim Ross
AEW

What wasn't meh though? QT's sit down promo with Jim Ross. Marshall complained that he's always been under-appreciated by AEW fans due to aligning with workers like Cody Rhodes or Powerhouse Hobbs over the years. He argued that this is unfair, especially when he's only ever wanted a chance to show his skills.

The moment when QT pointed a finger at Tony Khan and said he had to bolt to AAA for some spotlight worked a treat. For his part, JR acknowledged that he and other All Elite announcers hadn't always taken Marshall seriously since he started showing up. Also, there's just something special about a sit down chat with Ross.

There always has been.

He knows exactly when to chime in and when to keep his mouth shut to listen. That gave Marshall the floor to vent and put himself across as somebody who should be more of a credible threat on upper-tier programming like Dynamite or Collision.
