3 Ups & 2 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Feb 8)

1. Record Reign Ends

Up until Friday night, Ortiz and Santana had reigned as the World Tag Team Champions for 261 days, the longest in the history of the championship. They were unable to reach 262 days though, as The Lucha Bros had other plans.

The main event for Impact's most recent show in Mexico had a big fight feel around it. Two of the world's top teams fighting for a championship, alongside the fact that Pentagon and Fenix had a special entrance. After all, they were in their home country.

You knew this would be an intense match from the moment the bell rang. Anyone who said otherwise was wrong - it's as simple as that really. You had dives all over the place, tag team moves that would impress anyone, finishers being kicked out of. Perhaps the most epic moment of the match came when Santana kicked out of the Fear Factor/double stomp combo. If you can kick out of a move of that magnitude, you know you're doing something right.

LAX's fighting spirit wouldn't be enough, and we now have new Impact World Tag Team Champions as we head towards Uncaged!
