3 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage (Mar 11)

2. Limited Hardy Boyz Nostalgia

Time for another moan.

Listen, here's the truth: Nothing The Hardy Boyz have done together since has topped WrestleMania 33's comeback pop. That was five years ago now though, and their nostalgia act routine is wearing a little thin. As much as peeps on Rampage enjoyed seeing Matt and Jeff run off Andrade and pals, how long will that last?

Fans will get bored if AEW think that having The Hardyz walk out and show respect to Sting and Darby Allin is enough. This might've been the time to stick the brothers in a featured tag-team match, or something like that - even having them paste The Butcher and The Blade would've been fine.

The nostalgia gig, whilst fun for a while, has a limited shelf life. Beyond that, simply seeing Jeff and Sting in the same segment again on TV must've been a trip for TNA loyalists who happened to be tuning in. Fingers crossed AEW don't reference the Victory Road 2011 debacle though.

They don't need to.
