3 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage: Winter Is Coming (Dec 15 - Results & Review)

AEW Rampage Collision Picture-In-Picture Ad Break
AEW

Regular readers know about erm...regular whinges on AEW's picture-in-picture obsession. It's a money-maker, sure, but an annoying necessity that could be handled better when Rampage hits the edit room before airing. This week's provided another irritating example of the current model's glaring problems.

Excalibur said: "You do not want to a miss a minute of your main event". Literally seconds later, All Elite cut to a pic-in-pic ad break that hyped Collision on Saturday and showed off a few other commercials. That's quite dreadful timing. A "must see" main was interrupted just as it was getting spicy.

Also, the company did this repeatedly during almost every match other than the tag squash. It makes sense that Tony Khan wants to advertise his upcoming programming, but (and this dude is so, so sick of saying this) pick your spots. Calling a match unmissable then literally forcing viewers to miss part of it is p*ss poor.

Come on, AEW. Enough's enough.
