3 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage: Winter Is Coming (Dec 15 - Results & Review)

1. The Downside

Dante Martin Penta AEW Destroyer Ring Apron
AEW

This entry might ruffle some feathers, but please be aware it comes from a good place and isn't a Jim Cornette-esque bid to ruin anyone's fun. However, it does get to the stage where you wonder what the point of some bumps and spots are. The Rampage main event crew defo didn't do much selling at all.

Most involved in the match dumped other workers right on top of their heads without consequences. One has to question why wrestlers would even bother performing risky spots like those Canadian Destroyers on the ring apron if the man taking the hit is gonna get up like nothing happened 6 seconds later anyway.

It'd be nice if matches like this dropped say...30% of the moves, moves, moves for the sake of moves, moves, moves. Speaking of which, someone needs to have a chat with Vikingo. Yes, he's flashy and yes, he does some sweet stuff, but he's occasionally sloppy and needs to be more careful during spots without much margin for error.

There's an upside coming, don't worry.
