3 Ups & 3 Downs From AEW Rampage: Winter Is Coming (Dec 15 - Results & Review)

1. It Just Felt Good

Nobody can begrudge the Von Erich family any kind of feel good wrestling moment, and Rampage had one of the best in recent memory. Seeing young Marshall and Ross do their best in a loftier spot than they're used to was fun enough, but then Kevin Von Erich appeared and the fans burst into life.

Kev locked the Iron Claw on Jake Hager, then struck a pose with Orange Cassidy's sunglasses as the Texas crowd showered his family in adulation. Von Erich was smiling and visibly brimming with pride as soon as he walked through the curtain, which was ace to see. What a super-cool moment.

Kudos to Tony Khan and AEW for making it happen.

Yes, the Iron Claw spot and the tag itself could be considered throwaway fare because All Elite was visiting Texas, but man was it ever heartwarming. Any pro wrestling enthusiast has to be rooting for these young Von Erich lads, and they showed enough to merit a serious look in the future.
