3 Ups & 3 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Jan 11)
1. Step In The Wrong Direction
It's no secret that Killer Kross is a sensational talent. Essentially everything he's done throughout his Impact tenure thus far has been noteworthy, but he took a slight step back this week.
Facing Johnny Impact in the evening's main event with no disqualifications seemed a fine way to close the show, and to further the duo's rivalry. The match as a whole was great to the shock of nobody, and then Moose intervened. Nothing wrong with Moose, it's just a case of why he and Kross have to realign.
Kross has been doing terrific things since the trio with Moose and Austin Aries split and has gotten himself into the main event picture, so it feels like he's being paired with Moose to give the former Grand Champion something to do. His loss to Eddie Edwards didn't leave him with many options going forward.
We'll have to wait and see where this pairing goes in the coming weeks, and even though it'll likely create some great moments, it needs to be Killer Kross who remains at the forefront. It can't be Moose as the main star of the tandem, not right now at least.
